Well, it's a Monday night and it looks like I have a pretty boring night ahead of me, so I figure I should just get started on my blog with a small review (okay.. rant actually) of this season of Roll Up the Rim.
Alright, I'm a Canadian student - not just that, but I'm a teenager too - obviously I'm on a pretty tight budget. So Timmies if my coffee place of choice! Not only because I'm on a budget, but in general I really like what they offer. I'm not into Starbucks (or their prices), or Williams. I'm good to go when I've got my timmies, especially grabbing some on the way to class.
Right now rrrrroll ups on. Usually I get really excited about it! I don't even care about winning the big prizes, because to be honest, things like that never happen to a person like me. I just have the worst luck there is. Yet in the past, I've been able to rely on Timmies to give me a free coffee or donut during roll up season.
Okay, so... out of 24 cups of coffee/tea bought during this roll up season, I've won 0 times. That's right.. ZERO!!! I have never been so disappointed in my life! I know it's not about winning, but it's never been that bad in the past.
I think I'll pass the next time my Roll Up cup tells me to please play again.
What are your Roll Up stats like??

The Poor Student - FAQ!
Hey everyone,
this is officially my first post! I'm just going to spend the first post explaining the purpose of the blog, what I'll be including as content on here, why I'm doing this, etc.
What does this blog offer?
I've created this blog because I love finding a good deal online. I'm always looking for new ways to make extra money, and as a student I realize that I need to be able to save as much money as I can, while still having extra money to spend on myself from time to time. During the last two years, I've tried over one hundred different money making websites, trial sites, coupon sites, etc. And now, I'm narrowing them down for whoever decides to read this blog, leaving only the reliable websites for you all to try, too.
I will only include a website on here if I have had success on it. This means that if I have tried it, and have not received any sort of reward for completing the tasks its asked of me, I will NEVER have it listed on here.
What kind of content will be included in my posts?
My favourite type of websites are survey sites, coupon sites, and free sample websites. Those are the three kinds I generally browse. If I ever come across any other sort of useful website, I will definitely be posting it up on here, but those are the three main ones you will see.
I will probably be posting good contests from time to time, if I ever see a good one.
And remember, all of these survey/coupon/sample sites will be Canadian-friendly!! It's really hard to find websites like these that are for Canadians, because most of them are for the States (if you look at all of the free samples you can receive if you live in America, you would be floored! Our American neighbours could basically live off of the free samples available to them - lucky them!).
I think that's about it for now, but if there are any questions you'd like to ask, you can certainly leave them as a comment on the blog and I will get back to you as quickly as I can!
Thanks for reading! Remember to check back often :)
